About Tara

Tara is a Dutch illustrator (b. 1990), whose journey into art began with studying art therapy. From her cozy studio in The Hague, she creates joyful, whimsical illustrations full of color and life. Her work is all about capturing the simple, playful beauty that can be found in the world around us.

A trip to Japan in 2016 left a lasting mark on her heart. The peaceful temples and serene zen gardens opened her eyes to a new way of seeing things—a blend of ancient wisdom and gentle kindness. Inspired, Tara decided to follow her creative path even further, seeking to uncover that timeless, innocent joy in an ever-changing world.
